Five great songs I recommend
Following my post about five good songs for the summer, I thought I'd recommend five more great songs that are out at the moment
Owl City - Deer In The Headlights
Two years ago I pretty much thought that Owl City were going to be a one hit wonder after the massive hit Fireflies. The accompanying album wasn't great and all follow up singles so far have failed to make any impact. Earlier this year however a second album came out which is pretty fantastic. Deer In The Headlights is the second single from "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and captures a great 80s pop sound much better that Katy Perry's TGIF ever could!
Aloe Blacc - Green Lights
You have probably guessed from my other blogs that I am HUGE Aloe Blacc fan. The look, the voice, the songs... It just all so sexy!! Green Lights is the second UK release from his debut album and while I'm slightly peeved that Loving You Is Killing Me wasn't released this is still a lovely song with song very complimentary remixes.
Erasure - When I Start To [Break It All Down]
Erasure are back! Hurrah! Celebrate the 80s!
Dolly Parton - Together You and I
This is probably going to be the least trendy song I will probably ever recommend on here. But a great song will always stand out whoever it is by [with possibly Chris Brown as the only exception].
Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love
Ok, back to being "Hip and Trendy" again! Rihanna has had a great run of hits over the last couple of years and right now she can do no wrong so when you add Calvin Harris as producer you know you are going to get something really special. If this doesn't get to number 1, I'll eat some peas! [Trust me, that's a BIG deal!]
So there are my five favourite songs at the moment. Is there anything that you would like to recommend? Let me know
