It's that time of the month again! This is July's upcoming release list (of films I like the look of). Again, the list is in release order, some you might not of heard of, some you will. Some even I haven't heard of, but have found whilst compiling the list.

We start with a cheeky one, I already put this in my June 2012 listing, but as it is a July film, here it is again.

The Amazing Spider-Man - July 3rd 2012

Peter Parker finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner

I am really looking forward to this. Hopefully I will be seeing this in D-Box, but as the seats are limited and the last showing is at about 9pm, it's not looking likely. As I posted the trailer last month, I have found a 4 minute "Super Preview" to show you. I hope you enjoy it!

God Bless America - July 4th 2012

Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement

This is another one of those weird and wonderful films we find by looking at the trailers on the IMDB! To be honest, I would love to do what this guy does, especially if I had nothing to lose - I'm going to die anyway, why not take a few people with me and help the world at the same time.

Magic Mike - July 11th 2012

Mike, an experienced stripper, takes a younger performer called The Kid under his wing and schools him in the arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

Erm, well, again another one I am not sure of, but then, who can resist Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer stripping?

I will probably be seeing this one, although it does seem like a shallow film about stripping. And since when did Matthew McConaughey become the *and* in a film? That is just wrong.

Ice Age: Continental Drift - July 13th 2012

Manny, Diego, and Sid embark upon another adventure after their continent is set adrift. Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they explore a new world.

Now, I don't really want to see this film, but I do want to see The Simpsons short before it, so I am torn. Do I pay £1.50 to see the film - not to see the film - but just the short and then go see a different film? It is very tempting.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - July 13th 2012

As an asteroid nears Earth, a man finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Accompanying him is a neighbor who inadvertently puts a wrench in his plan.

What do you do when the world is definitely ending? Carry on as normal, or go on a trip to find your first love? With Kiera Knightley of  Jack Sparrow fame, it looks like a great film. I have always wondered, should such a thing like Armageddon start, would we try one of the outrageous plans? Would it actually work? Or would we give up and accept the inevitable?

The Dark Knight Rises - July 20th 2012

When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman's legacy piece by piece.

Kind of an obvious one to be looking forward to I think, I don't know many people who aren't (other than Matthew as he didn't like the last one), but I enjoy a Batman film. I remember watching Batman Returns for the first time and loving it - it was the first Batman Film I remember seeing as a child. I do admit, the Batmobile could do with a rethink, but then, as this is the last one of this series of "reboots", the next film will probably be completely different again.

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax - July 27th 2012

Ted lives in a town where nothing is quite as it appears; everything is plastic, including the plants. Hopelessly smitten by the beautiful Audrey, who dreams of one day seeing a real tree, Ted boldly leaves the city determined to find the flora and grant her wish. Along the way, the young adventurer crosses paths with the Lorax, a diminutive, mustached defender of nature who doesn't take kindly to human intruders. The better Ted gets to know the Lorax, however, the more he learns that his newfound friend has good reason for being a bit surly.

This looks strange, but then it is a Dr. Suess film - what do you expect? With a star studded cast, I am really looking forward to the strangeness! I also didn't realise Betty White was a voice in this film, it makes it a definite not miss!

And finally, a film released in August, but just technically in the "next month" bracket.

Ted - August 1st 2012

A story centered on a man and his teddy bear, who comes to life as the result of a childhood wish.

Written by, and starring Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show), this is another strange looking film about a bloke and his "living" teddy bear.

Starring: Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg, Laura Vandervoort, Seth MacFarlane, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Jessica Stroup, Patrick Stewart, Ryan Reynolds

We have no goddesses this month (like Kristen Wiig last month) but there are a few good looking films. In all honestly, I'm a little disappointed by this months offering, and I am looking forward to the summer holiday listings - although taking a sneak peak, I am disappointed already. Why are all films catered towards getting chavs in to the cinema rather than the loyal cinema goers? August's post may be quite small. Thanks for reading.
